Time For A Hiatus

On October 31st of last year I was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. I started treatment on December 3rd, and went through 6 weeks of chemo and radiation knowing that tomorrow was coming somewhere down the road. Well, tomorrow is now actually tomorrow and I'll be having an esophagectomy to remove my esophagus.
I'll spare you the gory details of how it works, and there are plenty of diagrams that'll send shivers up your spine, but in a nutshell I won't have an esophagus after the surgery which will be pretty life-altering but, thankfully, only mildly disruptive for a few months while I heal and re-learn how to eat.
With the surgery comes a mandatory 10-day hospital stay, and I was going to spend that time maintaining this blog, but in the end I'm not doing that. I'd rather focus on using the forced downtime to rest, begin a training course I just purchased, and even work on product designs for my return so that's what I'm going to do and I just wanted to let everyone know. I will be back. This is goodbye for now, not goodbye forever and just know that when I get back to health, the first thing I'm going to do is push a whole bunch of new products out that I'm working on and I'll be writing about that push, what it's like, and so on, just as I've been doing. I love you all and thank you for your continued support.
See ya on the flip side!
